PSAT Test Dates 2017

PSAT Test Dates 2017 SAT / ACT Prep Online Guides and Tips Attention, 2017 juniors! Do you know when you’ll be taking the PSAT? Do you know the best way to prepare for the test? This guide is for anyone planning to take the PSAT in the fall of 2017. We have the predicted PSAT test dates, along with some key study tips. To start, let’s discuss what you need to know about how your school will administer the PSAT. How Will Your High School Administer the PSAT? Unlike the SAT or ACT, you don’t get to choose when you take the PSAT. Instead, your school administers the PSAT on one date in the fall. All juniors automatically take the PSAT, while younger students can request to take it if they want the experience. College Board gives schools three options for PSAT test dates, a primary test date, an alternate test date, and a Saturday test date. The majority of schools choose the primary test date, which falls on a Wednesday. Your school will only administer the PSAT on its one selected test date. College Board hasn’t released the exact 2017 PSAT test dates yet, but we can predict the dates based on previous years. Read on for the predictedPSAT test dates in 2017. With the PSAT, you don't get to choose your test date. What Are the 2017 PSAT Test Dates? Every year the primary PSAT test date falls on a Wednesday in mid-October. The alternate test date will be offered two weeks later, while the Saturday test date will fall within a few days ofthe primary test date. Here are the officialPSAT test dates 2017: Primary date: Wednesday, October 11 Alternate Date: Wednesday,October 25 Saturday Date: Saturday, October 14 Since your school only administers the PSAT once, you should try your hardest to be there. Of course, you can’t help it if you come down with the flu or have a family emergency. If you miss your PSAT test date for whatever reason, can you still take the test? When the days start to cool and the leaves change color, PSAT season is upon you. What If You Miss the 2017 PSAT Test Date? Even though your school only administers the PSAT once, it is possible to retake the test if you’re absent on test day. If you miss the PSAT, then you’ll have to contact the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) with a written request to take it by March 1. Here’s what the NMSC website says about scheduling a makeup PSAT: â€Å"The student or a school official must write to NMSC as soon as possible after the PSAT/NMSQT administration to request information about procedures for entry to NMSC competitions by alternate testing. The earlier NMSC receives the written request, the greater the student’s opportunities for meeting alternate entry requirements. To be considered, a request must be postmarked no later than March 1 following the PSAT/NMSQT administration that was missed. NMSC will provide alternate entry materials including an entry form that requires the signature of a school official.† While you can schedule a retest if you miss the PSAT, you really only need to take this step if you’re aiming for National Merit distinction or scholarships. If you’re not, then you could instead simply take a timed PSAT practice test on your own. While you won’t get the official testing experience, you can still take and score the test, analyze your results, and reflect on your performance to help you prep for the SAT. For students who are able to take the PSAT on its official test date, how long will they have to wait to get their scores? If you miss the PSAT, you probably only need to schedule a makeup test if you're aiming for top, National Merit-qualifying scores. When Will You Get PSAT Scores? PSAT scores willcome out a couple of months after you take the test, sometime in mid-December. You’ll be able to access them online via your College Board account. School counselors should have access to the scores one day earlier than students. Your school should also distribute paper score reports around the end of the month. Beside your total scores, what feedback will you see on your PSAT score report? What Will Your PSAT Score Report Look Like? Your PSAT score report will tell you how you scored on the entire test, as well as how you scored on each section. Your total scores will fall between 320 and 1520. This scale, by the way, is 80 points lower than the SAT scale to account for the fact that the PSAT is a slightly easier test. You’ll also get a score between 160 and 760 for Evidence-based Reading and Writing, and a score between 160 and 760 for math. Your test performance will be further broken down with three section scores between 8 and 38, one each for Reading, Writing and Language, and Math. Finally, you’ll get a Selection Index score between 48 and 228. The National Merit Scholarship Corporation uses this Selection Index to name Commended Students and Semifinalists. Each state has a different Selection Index cutoff to qualify. We estimate that the average state cutoff to qualify as National Merit Semifinalist will be 214. Whether you’re aiming for National Merit or getting ready for the PSAT and SAT, you should take time to study for the PSAT. Read on for some essential PSAT prep tips. Your PSAT score report slices through your results toreveal all the layers of your test performance. How to Prep for the PSAT No one should go into the PSAT without knowing what to expect. There are lots of available practice materials that will help you learn about the test and get some experience with PSAT questions. The following seventips will help guide your prep for the PSAT. We also have in-depth articles that illuminate every aspect of the test, plus give some key test-taking and time management strategies to help you do your best. Your first step in PSAT studying is simply familiarizing yourself with the content, format, and scoring of the test. Want to improve your PSAT score by 150 points? We have the industry's leading PSAT prep program. Built by Harvard grads and SAT full scorers, the program learns your strengths and weaknesses through advanced statistics, then customizes your prep program to you so that you get the most effective prep possible. Check out our 5-day free trial today: #1: Familiarize Yourself With the Test First things first, set aside some time tolearn all about the PSAT. Learn about how the test is structured, how much time you have for each section, and when you get breaks. Figure out what skills are tested in Reading, what grammar rules you need to know for Writing, and what the difference is between the Math No Calculator and Math With Calculator sections (besides, of course, whether or not you can use a calculator). As you learn, take notes on theskills and concepts you feel confident about and which ones need review. Keep track of the areas where you’ll need to spend the most time studying. You can use these notes to design a study plan that targets your weak areas and fills in any gaps in knowledge. Your first step in preparing for the PSAT is learning all about the PSAT. In other words, you should make the PSAT your new best friend. #2: Make a Study Schedule To meet your goals on the PSAT, you need to design a study schedule customized to you. You should think about how much time you have before the PSAT, and how much of that time you can realistically commit to test prep. Ideally, you can set aside the same time each week so that your PSAT prep becomes part of your routine. Just a few hours of prep a week can add up to dozens or even hundreds of hours if you start early enough. Take time to design a schedule, write it down, and stick to it. By developing a consistent habit of PSAT prep, you’ll see significantprogress over time. #3: Take a Timed Practice Test When you start studying, you should sit down and take a full PSAT practice test. Find a quiet environment, time yourself, and score your test. By simulating the test day experience, you can get a sense of your current scoring level. Then you can use this practice test to diagnose your strengths and weaknesses as a test-taker. Take time to figure out your section scores and pinpoint your weaknesses. Where do you see the most room for improvement? By taking a practice test at the beginning, you can figure out where you need to put in the most work to see improvement. Take timed practice tests to get a sense of the pacing of the PSAT. With enough practice, you'll manage to stay afloat despitethe strict time limits. #4: Analyze Your Results Once you’ve scored your test, you should go back through and circle all of the questions that you got wrong or where unsure about. Look for patterns in questions that tripped you up. Perhaps you need to work on time management in the Reading section. Maybe you need to review geometry concepts and memorize more formulas. Think deeply about the reasons you got a question wrong. Were you missing some core knowledge, or did you make a careless error because you were rushing? Memorizing grammar rules won’t help your Writing score if what you really need is better time management strategies. Getting to the root of your issues will help you address them directly and effectively. #5: Review Core Concepts While strategy is important on the PSAT, you also need to possess certain core knowledge to do well on it. You’ll need to understand specific rules of grammar, certain literary terms, key math formulas, and concepts of algebra and geometry. Make sure your PSAT study materials break down each section into its component concepts. After reviewing a concept, you should answer relevant practice questions to reinforce your understanding. If you come across a concept that you haven’t learned yet in school, you might seek help from a peer or teacher or try to learn it on your own with PSAT study materials. Filling in any gaps in knowledge is especially key if you’re aiming for top scores. Even if the PSAT calls itself a skills-based, rather than content-basedtest, it still requires that you've memorized some facts and figures. #6: Get Strategic Unfortunately, even academically excellent students aren’t guaranteed a high score on the PSAT without a solid understanding of test-taking strategy. The PSAT is a fast-paced test that requires deft time management. By practicing with timed tests, you’ll be able to get more and more efficient and less prone to careless errors. You shouldalso try outspecificstrategies, like process of elimination or speed-reading passages, to improve your speed while maintaining accuracy. #7: Practice, Practice, Practice Becoming a good PSAT-taker is a learned skill, just like writing or playing the guitar. You can’t expect to get great scores the first time you take a practice test. Rather, you’ll get better and better the more you practice. Ideally, you can start several months before your test date and commit one to three hours to PSAT prep each week. As you get closer to the test, you can ramp up the time commitment, if possible. However, you’ll already have accumulated many study hours, so you won’t have to panic and cram at the last minute.By the time the PSAT rolls around, all the skills you’ve developed will kick in and carry you across the finish line of your PSAT goals. Now that you have a sense of when you’ll take the PSAT and how you can start preparing for it, let’s go over the key points you should remember about this important test. Just as youcan't expect to know how to play the guitar without any practice, you also shouldn't expect to ace the PSAT without some serious prep work. PSAT Test Dates 2017: Key Points If you’ll be a junior in 2017, then you’ll be taking the PSAT in the fall. In all likelihood, you’ll take the PSAT on a Wednesday in mid-October.Our projected 2017 PSAT dates are Wednesday, October 18, Wednesday, November 1, andSaturday, October 15. The PSAT is a unique test, probably unlike othertests you take in school. To achieve your target scores, you should take time to review material and try out test-taking strategies. With enough practice, you might qualify for National Merit distinction and scholarships. Regardless of whether or not you make this competitive cutoff, you’ll still benefit from prepping for the PSAT. The test is extremely similar to the SAT, so any prep you do now will help you when you take the college admissions test. Taking the PSAT is a skill that you can learn and improve with practice. The more effort you put in beforehand, the more comfortable and confident you’ll feel when test day rolls around. What’s Next? Are you aiming for top scores on the PSAT? Quality of Society and Leaders Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Quality of Society and Leaders - Essay Example But, either these two are dependent on each other is a different concept than measurement. Therefore, this essay focuses on a phenomenon to identify that either quality of society is dependent on the quality of its leader, which is very minimal (Robert & Matsumiya, 2007, p. 10). 1.2 The quality of a society depends upon the quality of its leaders Quality cannot be quantified. There can be changes in the society. Research indicated that these changes arise due to the changing political conditions. There are many factors due which leaders are unable to affect the quality of society (Williamson, 2010, p. 555). Leaders are unable to affect the quality of society due to the following three reasons i.e.: society shapes the potential leaders society itself chooses a leader society itself determines the limit of change in its quality Society shapes the potential leaders Society influences the development of leaders and prevents them from affecting the quality of a society. It is the society who influences the individuals not the leaders. Societal environment, individual action and structure, all these work together (Bunge, 1997, p.420). They are the forms of one another. Leaders are included in these individual who lives in a society, therefore they are also influenced from the quality of society. But some leader who has stronger potential can resist the influence of society. This combination of influence from society and leaders is hard to resist. Whether a leader is strong or weak, but they are mainly shaped by the society. This means that society itself chooses and shapes a leader; this means it cannot gain a person with some differentiated skills. Therefore, societies cannot rely on these leaders to change its quality. Society itself chooses a leader Mainly society itself chooses a leader. Therefore it reduces the chances of getting a leader with some different and innovative qualities, it chooses a leader who have same qualities that of former. This is done throug h modern politics i.e. a leader is selected on the basis of elections. Societies mainly choose those leaders, which reflect their quality and are quite similar to it, rather than selecting such leaders who have different qualities as compared to the quality of a particular society. This phenomenon have not been promoted in this modern world, it was present late back in 16th century i.e. only those individuals were selected as a leader who had similarity with the quality of a society (Nietzsche, 1983). Even if a leader retires, he is replaced by a person who has similar qualities as that of former. This means it does not resist any change in the quality of leadership. For instance, in 1848, French Revolution people selected a new regime on the basis of volunteer, which was similar to the older one. This revolution did not lead to achievement of its goals (Marx, 1969). Removal of the regime indicated that there wasn’t a change in leadership but there was a change in the quality of society. In case if the quality of society do not change even after replacing a leader, it indicates that quality of society is not dependent on the quality of leaders. Society itself determines the limit of change in its quality In case if a leader with different quality is considered and selected for a society. It blocks the way of leaders to implement any change by allocating limits. Following a different virtue is difficult for the society and in case if it does not value that, it will

Privacy and New Technology Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Privacy and New Technology - Assignment Example This way, in a certain case, consent will not be the only exemption to a certain prohibition nor will it be the only basis for allowing the handling of personal information in a certain way. This calls for the law that controls the handling of the data if the individual concerned maybe signed consent oblivious of the circumstances that can surround its leakage to the third party. According to Naomi and Charles, 2011, information Privacy Principles do not require that an individual should give her consent to the collection of the concerned person’s personal information. There is a laid rule that governs or is against an organization collecting sensitive information about an individual. Among the exceptions to the prohibition is where the individual has given the consent. The control of the information is also important to prohibit an agency from using the information obtained from an individual with consent in other ways that are contrary to the ones intended in the initial agreement. a. Especially in todays context, Organization is seldom succeeded, exclusive of the physically powerful study of organizational behavior because employee job satisfaction is adding extra weighed averaged force to drive the company towards its correct direction reducing the friction occurred due to hostile competition and the complicated employee movements. 1.2 Importance/significance of the organization behavior Recruitment interviews hardly determine the employees attitudes over the assign work as well as the behavior within the working environment. Therefore, Organization Behavior is the most significant measuring tool which helps the Managers to evaluate employee capacities and interactions within their departments. Smooth handling of social system is vital to maintain the quality production. It is not that easy to preserve the peaceful social environment without identifying the attitude and behavior of the people who work for the organization. Todays organizations are frequently tolerated with variable demands, experiencing surprising mutations, and unrest changes in each moment. In this situations, Smart and quick management changes will help and leadership will be more effective to face Screening organization as stopped up system is no longer valid, it is necessity to treat it as a live organized system sharing the resources and the metabolites each other. Organization Behavior assists to keep the institution alive through the globalization. Since organization is a social system, relationships are crucial to the organization for their popularity. Improving quality and productivity solely depends on the positive relationships of the organizations. 1.3 Although, Organization Behavior associates several components this article is restricted for only following four areas. Literature Revive According to the definition, Organization behavior is a study and application of awareness concerning how individuals and groups act in organization. Mainly, Organization behavior can be separated in to two main processes for easy understands. Formal Organization Behavior Each and every employee undergoes with certain law and order towards carried out their duties. Controlling professional movement by applied regulations and condition is known as formal organizational behavior. Example arrival and departure times, leave criterias, uniform requirements etc. Formal organizational behavior helps to keep the organization in correct track but it does enough to produce effective and quality service generating significance. Informal Organization Behavior Informal Organization Behavior that have to do with interactions or relationships among employees in the organization forming a group to give their selves of belongingness and oneness. Informal Organization Behavior is critical and essential for the success. Although workers who work under one roof aiming one direction, they came from different environmental strata. In this situation, organization environment must be employee friendly to motivate all as one team. Organization Behavior is practical behavioral science; it is built upon the contribution from a number of behavioral disciplines such as such as Psychology, Sociology, Social Psychology, Anthropology, etc. Common role of the above mentioned sciences is to build better relationships by achieving human objectives, organizational objectives, and social objectives. 4.1 Leadership All the organizations are driven with a desire to achieve a set of goals. Any organization without a goal will not survive in the present context or simply may not be considered as an organization. Once the goals are set or agreed upon its very important to motivate, supervise, innovate new ideas and make necessary changes in the organization to accomplish them. There are several changes take place in every moment and one may have to adapt different approaches to keep the goals alive. A strong leadership is one of the most significant factors that help to become successful. Good leader should be able to get the maximum service from everybody while providing them a self satisfaction. He should be a person that others could rely upon. Unexpected situations may arise suddenly in any place. Natural disasters, economical hardships, and illnesses are some to be mentioned as some examples. The leadership should take corrective measures instantly to face such changes. The leadership provided by the work foreman during the last years disaster in coal mine in Chile was a good example for such an unexpected situation. His goal was to look after the day to day activities of the mine. But when they faced a situation that had to struggle for life he quickly led everybody to achieve that. He provided them with necessary organizational structure for long survival with whatever the foods available at that moment. He kept everybodys moral and they ended up in success at the end as the group that survived in such a depth in ground for the longest period 4.2 Group behaviour Positive organizational behaviour is essential for an organization to achieve their goals. Understanding the individual and group behaviour is key part of it. The groups attitudes, communication systems, different personalities, abilities (skills), virtues and leadership qualities affect the working capacity of the organization. The managerial structure and the leaders of the organization should identify all these aspects in order to understand the strengths and weaknesses of their workers. The strengths need praises and improvements. Weaknesses should be address promptly with positive approach. Recently most of the government and private sector organizations have started to train new batches of workers together for sometime. This will improve the inter relationships of group members and when they start to work it eases the communication barriers. They tend to work as a group rather than trying their individual skills. The army and other security forces apply the same principals while training small groups for specific targets. They have shown utmost success in this process during the war situations. Sri Lanka is one of the countries with lot of disputes among professionals in health sector. This has become an unpleasant experience to the general public. One of the proposed solutions to overcome this is to train the entire health professional in a single institute as a single group at the beginning. They do things together; learn together for some time developing special bonds among them. Then the various groups will divert in to different training process depending on their requirements and they will have different exit points. Still they will have the opportunity to get together when ever there are common learning and teaching goals. This will minimize the disputes and fighting among them in future while practicing their professions. 4.3 Training and Development The technology, approach, culture and requirements of people change gradually. Even though the changes may not be readily visible they take place in slow pace. The early pick up of these changes and making necessary changes would upgrade the organizations to a leader in the society. Constant training of the workers on the newer developments in the field of technology, especially things like equipments and information technology will keep the organization updated. The one who achieve this goal will ultimately become the winner. The world is facing an uphill task in managing the fossil fuels. The available fossil fuel level is going down and the demand is sky rocketing daily. Various countries are taking different approaches to control the situation. India, China and Korea came forward with small fuel efficient vehicles and now they have become the market leaders ahead of European and Japanese auto makers. The changes are coming in the field of education too. The curricular in universities and schools are changing gradually. The teaching methods are reaching in to different era. More teaching is done with the help of information technology. The face to face teacher student sessions are being replaced with other activities. The students are able to obtain degree and post graduate qualifications online. 4.4 Change of management Change management is an accepted concept in organizations. It will bring forward several changes into an organization to achieve future targets. The mission, vision, leadership, technology, attitude, planning and personal changes have to take place in order to face the current and future challengers. Especially organizations targeting the market need to keep a vigilant eye on the trends. Accurate prediction of their market share and how to improve from the present situation depend on the success of the changes that were adapted. It is very important to monitor the changes applied as to see whether they are reaching towards the set goal. It will be wasting of money and resources if a proper monitoring process is not there to do so. Recent research in to the most demanding jobs in the world revealed that the seven out of ten of the most demanding jobs were not listed as jobs a decade ago. No one had predicted that such a demand will arise for unknown jobs in ten years time. This shows the available scope for the management change to take place in society.

The three main malfunctions atenelol is used for are alcohol withdrawal, anxiety disorders, and cardiac disorders.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Dealing with alcohol withdrawal, Atenolol can be used as an addition to tradition alcohol withdrawal treatment to help make the results more effective. In relation to anxiety disorders, atenolol is usually used in small stress reactions, minor panic disorders, and generalized anxiety syndrome. Results are most easily obtainable in patients who have bodily anxiety, as opposed to the mind, and helps reduce trembling and rapid heart beat. Atenolol also had a large affect on cardiac illnesses. In the most common, angina pectoris, atenolol is used to decrease the amount of repeated attacks and to prevent any immediate death. Overall, it affects the heart and circulatory system to either lessen the effect of or prevent any type of cardiovascular illness that may cause serious and/or permanent damage to the body. But how exactly does the medication work?   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Let’s begin with the structure. The structure of Atenolol is as follows: its chemical formula is C14H22N2O3, its relative molecular mass is 266.3g, and its chemical name is (RS)-4-(2-hydroxy-3-isopropylaminopropoxy)phenylacetamide. The physical appearance of the drug itself is a white colored powder that is odorless. The way atenolol, as well as other beta-blockers, work, is that they affect the different beta-recptors located within the human body. Every human has a certain number of beta-receptors located throughout the body, in places such as the heart, lungs, brain, etc. When a person takes a dose of atenolol, it reacts with the beta-receptors to either calm anxiety or treat blood pressure, without altering a person’s actions.

Dead Poets Society and Individualism

Preston Herring English 200 February 6, 2013 Dead Poet’s Society and Individualism In the movie, Dead Poet’s Society, it conveys the thought of individualism and how it can impact your life as a whole in detail. The many conflicts that the characters face throughout the movie demonstrate how the thought of thinking for one’s self is shameful and how being different and sticking out from the crowd is looked down upon. Neil Parry’s suicide for instance illustrates the consequences that can happen when someone’s individual thoughts and feelings are not listened to and authority’s tradition is allowed to prevail against individualism. On the other hand the triumph of the individual thoughts and beliefs may sometimes have a positive outcome like in the case of Knox Overstreet. When Knox becomes obsessed with Chris, without even meeting her, he ends up risking his life to win her heart. In both cases, characters go with their individual thoughts and beliefs to make their choices and stop obeying traditional authority figures. The whole group of friends of Neil Parry and Todd Anderson embark on a trip of finding themselves and individual growth that will have a lasting impact on their futures. Not everybody can have the inner strength to stand up for their individual thoughts. An example is Neil Parry’s unfortunate suicide. When Neil decides to pursue a career in acting rather than in medicine his father, Mr. Parry, is furious. Unemotional by Neil’s extraordinary performance in the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mr. Parry continues to insist on controlling Neil’s life and dictating his every move. But Mr. Parry’s efforts were in vain. Neil had already experienced freedom once before, a privilege not easily obtained. With this taste of freedom he realizes that he can think for himself and do great things on his own. Neil eventually stands up to his father, but can’t express his opinions and emotions to the increasingly angered old school man that his father is. Rather than continuing to live a life in which he can’t pursue his own true dreams, he decides that the only way to gain control of his situation is by killing himself. Though he lost everything in the process, suicide was the only way for Neil to stand up to his father and live life to the fullest or s Mr. Keating would say â€Å"Carpe Diem†. Through the action of suicide, Neil is taking control of his life decisions and must accept the consequences. Neil’s decision to take his life was a necessary step to find himself, grow as an individual, and realize that he can make his own decisions. On the other side of the story is Knox Overstreet, one who is not afraid to express his own emotions and romances. Knox recognizes the vital importance of individualism when he becomes in love with Chris, a girl that he has never met before and doesn’t even know.Knox, like Neil, recognizes the importance of individual emotion and opinions in guiding him through life and helping him make decisions. Knox decides to risk everything by standing up to her boyfriend Chet in a romantic attempt to win Chris’s heart. His many attempts prove to be effective in the end. Chris does go to A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Knox and even holds his hand. In a way Knox has succeeded, he has won the battle, and he has prevailed over the authority figure Chet.Throughout the movie, there are several examples where characters act with individuality, purposely disobeying traditional authority in order to follow their own dreams. In some cases, these conflicts had positive outcomes like in Knox’s case. In other situations such outbreak of individualism had deadly consequences like Neil. In either case the process of self-discovery and free thinking was bound to happen and after being awarded freedom for the very first time, both Neil and Knox weren’t going to give up th is sense of individuality and free thinking up without a fight. The only place where someone can find out his or her true identity, their true character, is within himself or herself. Neil and Knox’s fearless fight with basic tradition beliefs will forever demonstrate the importance and necessity of finding yourself and individually growing to become a new person that you chose to be and to be a role model and figure to new generations of teenagers to come. King Tut essays

King Tut essays Over 3,300 years ago, a young King, known as Tutankhamen, inherited the rule of the Egyptian kingdom. Given that Tut was only nine years old at the time, guardian officials tended to political duties while the boy publicly matured into manhood. Tutankhamens popularity, among his people, grew rapidly over the next ten years. However, many coveted this position as King and considered themselves fortunate for not having to be concerned about competing with an heir. King Tutankhamen never conceived a son. Then, somewhere between the ages of the eighteen and twenty, Tutankhamen died, leaving his empire in a state of shock and depression. Whether the King was murdered or died of an accident is still a mystery; and although plunderers attempted to break into the tomb, the details of Tuts burial chamber were not uncovered until 1922 (Rigby). The following paragraphs will discuss the visual appearance, construction details, past and present locations of King Tutankhamens coffins. The three coffins are quite different in their physical composition and length. However, their appearances and meanings are very similar. Each coffin is the depiction of the Egyptian god Osiris, who appears as a human-faced bird. Osiris is associated with fertility and was the first god incarnated on Earth. The head of each is also crowned with the presence of the vulture goddess, Nekhbet, and the image of the divine cobra, Buto. However, one of the most captivating details of the coffins is the black eyes and eyebrows that stand out of each face. Such bold and piercing eyes immediately capture the viewer and portray Tut with both beauty and authority. Then, beneath the head of each casket is the similar layout of the body. The arms of this representation of King Tut lie parallel to his body and are bent at the elbows. The forearms are folded across the upper abdomen and lie left over the right. In one hand, the young King holds a flail and in ...

Moreover, numerous questions arise on the nature of God. All human beings will actually die at some point; yet, we consistently decline the reasons within us that glance into the factual result of a person's death. For humankind, it may be far simpler to agree that, they will depart to a "secure home" in Heaven and will be pardoned all their sins by a supreme being. Fortuitously, some people usually query this existence and the development of humankind; in addition to, the spiritual lessons obtained from our mothers and fathers, community and religion. This essay investigates the two logical justifications for and against the nature of God; in accordance to opinions of some exceptional researchers and philosophers.Anselm of Canterbury was the first to attempt an o...Through two classical arguments for God; the ontological argument and the teleological argument, this paper will show that there is no adequate evidence or extensive justifications for the true nature of God.According to the ontological argument, God usually represents one sacred and all-powerful being, the heavenly oneness of greatest truth and spiritual benefits. St. Anselm of Canterbury designed the ontological argument by stating that, even a dupe can comprehend or appreciate the perception of an omnipotent being of which nothing better may be formed (Palmer, 2013). Saint Anselm constantly stated that a dupe articulates the nature of this being only in his brain and thoughts other than in veracity. With declarations such as perfect, all-powerful and supernatural built in this being's definition, it seems impossible to argue against it. Nonetheless, the theists could prove the nature...

Ethical Issues in Mental Healthcare Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words

Ethical Issues in Mental Healthcare - Essay Example According to the research "Ethical Issues in Mental Healthcare" findings, psycho-clinical situations are based on trust and clients share their sensitive information with the therapist and great responsibility of not unnecessarily sharing secrets of oneself with others lies on to the shoulders of the psychologist. Again right of privacy is more of an ethical convention than a rule because therapists in the light of their past and current experience came to know that if they do not respect the right to privacy of their clients then they do more harm than good. The Hippocratic Oath gets activated and therefore, psychologists, psychiatrists and psychosocial therapist should not indulge them in behaviors that hurt their society. Therapists face another challenge of telling the truth to their patients whereas, they do not have to hurt them to an extent where they decide to quit the therapy altogether. In modern psychology, therapists are guided to wait for the right moment, to tell the tr uth rather than telling it up front because it will do emotional harm to their clients. They are required to create a mutual understanding that the practice of therapy is being carried to increase patients’ quality of life and once patients realize that a psychologist is his or her last resort before self-harm (Teale, 1955) then he or she becomes susceptible towards the therapeutic intervention and finally, began to treat truth as a fact and before that all of them treat their real condition as a dream and as an illusion.
